Mel is an anointed and energetic speaker led by God. He has a great love for people followed by a desire to see them grow in the Lord. Mel has accumulated over 20 years of leadership experience in the private sector as well as within the church organization.

Mel believes that men and women in the body of Christ should be equipped with the necessary leadership skills to enhance the growth of the church as the Lord leads them. 

Mel accepted Christ in 1968 under the Ministry of Bishop C.D. Williams in Anchorage, Alaska. He was ordained into the ministry in 1975. For more than 30 years Mel has held various positions on the Local, District and State levels within the Alaska Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC).

He is currently the Associate Pastor for Bishop Williams at the Greater Friendly Temple, COGIC and he also serves the Alaska Jurisdiction as the Chairman of the Board of Pastor's and Elders. Mel holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Church Administration from Friends International Christian University (FICU) in Merced, California.

He has conducted Leadership Development Seminars for many church organizations around the country. Mel has been married to Avis (Bonnie) Williams for 27 years. Together they have 6 children and 6 grandchildren.
